Nienschanz, a closed joint stock company (ZAO), is one of the largest IT-orientated holdings in Russia and an experienced solution provider.
While operating not only inside the Russian Federation, but also on the CIS market, ZAO “Nienschanz” has been majoring in the areas as follows:
1. System integration (designing and installation of telecommunications systems and cable-based networks as well as power-supply, automatic fire-alarm and fire-extinguishing, burglar alarm, video surveillance, access monitoring and control and site dispatching systems).
2. IT-consulting (the audit check of the current state of information-communications and engineering systems, elaboration of long-range modernization programs in cooperation with the customer, cost budgeting, implementation of operational arrangements, advance training of the customer’s specialists and end-to-end customer service throughout the Russian Federation).
3. Fabrication, integrated supplies and service maintenance of computer facilities and peripheral units.
4. Integrated supplies of copying-and-duplicating machines of worldwide leading trademarks with the complete provision of consumables and service maintenance throughout the Russian Federation.
5. Manufacture, integrated supplies, distribution and service maintenance of office furniture.
ZAO “Nienschanz” was set up in Saint-Petersburg on 21 January 1991 and since then has risen from the stage of single assembling of computers up to the multi-profile Group of Companies capable of implementing projects of whatsoever degree of complexity by way of using state-of-the-art solutions offered by the best world manufacturers.
On 16 November 2006 there appeared a managing company in the Nienschanz Holding composition. The aforesaid company’s major charter purposes included the management of the Holding’s companies as well as:
* law-, accounting- and audit-related activities;
* consulting on matters pertaining to business activities and business management;
* activities relating to the use of computer facilities and information technologies.
ZAO “Nienschanz” has devised a division-matrix and process-interaction organizational structure under which the company’s ‘divisions’ (or production units) bear full responsibility for the development and launch of their products onto the market and for the fulfillment of contracts entered into. The above structure enables the company to freely operate by way of mobilizing its resources in combination with the well-defined target area of expertise.
The director of each division is completely independent in settling current pressing matters relating to the work section he/she is in charge of. Each division, as an independent business-unit, is fully responsible for its performance results: i.e., production profitability and eventually profit earning. The company’s divisions are independent in performing such types of operations as marketing, research and development of new products, manufacture (including work process), distribution and sales, accounting and reporting.
For 17 years of its successful performance, ZAO “Nienschanz” has become one of the largest Russian IT-companies. According to The Expert rating, following the results of 2007, ZAO “Nienschanz” is in 17th spot among 100 largest Russian IT-companies. Also, in 2006 it took 19th position in the rating list of CNews100 “The largest IT-companies of Russia” and 4th position in the rating list of CNewsFAST among Russian system integrators (2004).
The above was largely due to the fact that in June 2002 ZAO “Nienschanz” has successfully passed through the certification audit and in August 2005 — recertification of its quality management system in compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 international standard.
In 2004 the company’s turnover totaled in excess of US$50 million, in 2005 — approx. US$63 million and in 2006 — nearly US$65 million.
The overall area of office premises, production floor and trading space currently occupied by ZAO “Nienschanz” amounts to 4,500 m².
At present, the company is offering a wide range of services relating to the development, implementation and management of system and integration solutions from the level of an enterprise to the national scale. It has got a vast experience in the implementation of projects, including federal ones, on IT-consulting, design and installation of engineering and telecommunications systems of buildings and structures, creation of data processing centers, systems of monitoring remote objects, corporate systems of safety and guaranteed power-supply.
